Hi guys! I’m not a very spontaneous person when it comes to traveling, I usually have everything planned out way ahead of time. My boss from
Carolina Clothing Company, Brittany, was heading down to Charleston for some brand related work, and called me a few days prior asking if I’d be interested in going. Before you know it we booked my flight and all I needed was to find a place to stay. I ended up finding the cutest B&B- it was a pink house with the perfect location, and the friendliest staff. I was surprised how well everything worked out for it being so last minute- but it ended up being one of my favorite trips to Charleston yet.
I flew in on Thursday morning, and from the airport met up with Brittany! We gathered things for the photoshoot later with @CameronWilderPhoto and had some lunch. I was so excited to have @jillianattaway join us in the shoot as well! My B&B was so adorable (and pink!), we decided to start the shoot there. After finishing those shots, we walked around the historic streets of Charleston to find a few more locations. We then headed to the Dewberry to wrap up the shoot at their Citrus Club. The rooftop had the best view of Charleston I have ever seen! We finished the evening with dinner at Little Jacks Tavern. I had my first ever shrimp burger- it was incredible.
The CUTEST B&B (great price too)- heres the
link!
That sunset!
Cheers!
Friday morning we woke up early to do a few more shots with Cam! Brittany stayed at The Dewberry, which has the cutest bikes available to their guests. We rode around on bikes all morning and got some great photos! After wrapping up with Cam, we headed to Skinny Dip Charleston for a trunk-show which was so much fun. I absolutely love the store, and its always a fun environment to be in. After the event at Skinny Dip, we walked around King Street for a little while before heading to an early dinner at Leon’s Oyster Shop. Hands down one of the best meals I’ve ever had! It was my first time trying grilled oysters, and their fried chicken sandwich was to die for. After dinner we had ice cream at Jeni’s and walked around for hours- we walked over 25,000 steps throughout the day!
Brittany flew out early on Saturday, so I had a little time to kill in the morning before my flight. I got up early so that I could try out Millers All Day on King St. I had a chai tea latte and waffles that were to die for. Then I headed to the airport- I was so sad to leave the beautiful weather and head back to the Buffalo snow.
Thanks for reading! Check out @cameronwilderphoto, thanks for shooting with us Cam!
