Hi everyone! Do you ever have those moments in life where you feel like something was completely meant to be? Over the summer I kept contemplating purchasing a film camera, but was apprehensive since I didn’t think I’d use it on a daily basis. Before heading to work one day, I stopped at an estate sale. I could’ve spent my whole day there if I didn’t have to run to work! The house had so many treasures in it. I ended up finding my Pentax K1000 in perfect condition- and the best part it was only $25!! I’ve been having so much fun learning how to use it. I took it to Charleston with me to test out what I’ve been learning, and absolutely love how the shots turned out. Film photography helps me appreciate things, and reminds me that good things take time. Today we’re so used to instant gratification and having everything right away. I love that when shooting film, you have to be thoughtful with every shot. The suspense of waiting to develop the film, and reliving the moment when you see the photos is so special.
Here’s some film snapshots from my trip- hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them!
