Hi everyone! As you may know, I’ve been blogging full-time since graduating from Mercyhurst University last spring. So many of you have been asking me what my next step is and I’m so happy that I finally know and can share! While I absolutely love blogging full-time, I’ve been trying to decide what the future holds for me and exploring many options. There are so many different options when it comes to choosing a career and it can get very overwhelming. After thinking about it for a while, I’m so excited to share that I’m going back to school to become a teacher! Don’t worry I still will be blogging as often as I do now, but I will be working on getting my teaching degree and sharing my experiences along the way. I’m so thrilled with my decision and look forward to being in school again.
I’m going to Buffalo State College which will allow me to live at home and take my classes online which is wonderful. Being able to continue blogging is a top priority for me and I think the schedule I’m taking on will definitely allow me to do so. Blogging has been such a source of happiness for me during my entire adult life and I truly don’t know what I would do without all of you. I could not be more thankful for the friendships I’ve developed and the support you all give me. Please know that I am always here to talk about anything and am only a quick DM or email away.
I will be studying Business Marketing Education and also hope to get my certification in Family and Consumer Science. One of my mom’s good friends is a teacher and I was able to spend a lot of time with her chatting about the job and began to realize it was the perfect fit for me. My dad always encouraged me to go to school for teaching, but when I graduated from high school I didn’t think that was what I wanted to do. The more I looked into becoming a teacher, I realized that it’s such a wonderful job. Classes started this week which is definitely very different from my previous college experience because of COVID. I love participating in discussions and meeting new people in my classes, but hopefully, we will be back to that soon and be able to do it virtually in the meantime! I’m pretty organized when it comes to my school and blog work so I’m hoping I will be able to keep all of my ducks in a row.
On another note- for all of you who recently graduated, are graduating soon, or are feeling stuck in your current role I encourage you to explore new options and never give up on finding something that will fulfill you. It can feel very stressful trying to find a career path that is the best fit for you- believe me, I felt that stress for the last few months. I received so many messages on Instagram of people telling me stories about their change in career paths later in life and I love hearing about how people found their passion. It was wonderful to hear that so many people love their teaching jobs and were even sweet enough to offer assistance if I ever need it! If I can ever be of assistance to you in any way please reach out!
Thank you all so much for reading!
