Moments at Montage Palmetto Bluff

If you want to visit a slice of heaven, you need to book a trip to Montage Palmetto Bluff. It’s my third time enjoying the property- perfect for a girls trip, romantic weekend, family getaway, and everything in between. We are staying in the cutest house that felt like home the moment we stepped foot in the door. Every house on the property has a front porch and is so beautiful to drive or bike through. I’m going to break up this post by recapping each day we were there- we did a short stay and were able to squeeze so much in!

Day One

We arrived in the afternoon and were so thrilled to check into our Village Home! They greeted us with champagne upon check in and then we took a short drive to the house. It truly felt like home the moment we stepped in the door. There are a lot of places to stay at Palmetto Bluff and if you are traveling with a larger group the homes and cottages are a perfect option! They also have a luxurious Inn as an option for your stay. You can take advantage of the amenity’s on the property while staying at all of these accommodations. After settling in Meghan gave us a golf cart tour of the property and shared so many unique details with us! One thing that really stood out to me is how much they prioritize preservation. It makes sense why the property feels so calming and untouched!

After the tour we snuck in a few minutes by the pool – we really lucked out and had amazing weather the entire trip! There are multiple pools at Palmetto Bluff which is perfect for whatever type of relaxation you are looking for. One of the pools is adult only so perfect if you’re on a relaxing getaway but there are others pools that welcome everyone and are perfect for a family trip. We loved seeing all of the activities they had planned for kids!

For dinner our first night we headed to Octagon which I’ve dreamed of since my last visit! The red pepper soup was absolutely divine and I ordered the classic shrimp and grits for my main course. It’s such a southern classic and always delicious at Palmetto Bluff! We ended the night with a variety of sweet treats and were excited for everything planned on day two! They also have a fire and s’mores at night which is so much fun- we stopped on our way back to the house.

You can enjoy lemonade, sweet tea, and cookies on the porch daily- a Palmetto Bluff tradition!

They have the cutest market on the property called RT’s perfect to grab the essentials!

Day Two

I always love to wake up early on vacation to make the most of each day- plus my internal alarm clock rarely lets me sleep past 6am! During my last stay at Palmetto Bluff I woke up to watch the sunrise over the May River and saw so many dolphins- it was an experience I’ll never forget and I was so excited to have the girls experience this with me on our trip. We took a bike ride, watched the sunrise over the water, and started the day with a coffee at Buzz.

We had a very busy day planned but squeezed in a few quick games of pickleball! The Montage Palmetto Bluff offers a variety of recreational actives which makes it easy to spend time outside. They have a beautiful golf course, tennis courts, pickleball, paddle boarding, biking, boating- really anything you can imagine. After we worked up a sweat we headed back to the house to get ready for our Veuve Clicquot Picnic + Pedal! This was one of my favorite experiences from our stay- it was so relaxing riding around the beautiful property and picking the perfect spot for a picnic. We enjoyed a few light bites and some champagne while soaking in our surroundings.

Once again, we snuck in some time at the pool which was always so relaxing. They had live music on our second day that was amazing- he covered a variety of genres and was the perfect addition to the pool scene. After the pool we all headed back to the house to get ready for our last dinner on the property. We dined at River House which did not disappoint! Everything from our table, the service, and of course the food and drinks were impeccable. I tried to capture as many photos as I could so you’d be able to feel like you were dining with us! After dinner we grabbed a drink at their speakeasy Hush which was such a unique experience! You enter through a hidden mirror and are transported into a moody cocktail lounge with the most delicious and creative drinks. It was the perfect way to end the night. Day Three

We woke up early again for another beautiful sunrise and enjoyed a bike ride around the property. There are so many plush trees at Palmetto Bluff making for a scene straight out of a movie. The property includes 20,000-acres of land and 32 miles of waterfront and they have Naturalists who are experts on the area. For our last experience we met up with Cassie for a Lagoon Tour! We saw alligators, and so many unique birds- the boat ride felt straight out of Where The Crawdads Sing. Cassie was so knowledgable and we learned so much about the wildlife on the property. After our tour we packed up the house and headed to Charleston!

Getting There

Montage Palmetto Bluff is a short ride from the Charleston, Savannah, or Hilton Head airports. We ended up flying into Charleston and renting a car since we were moving around a lot during our trip! I love that the property is close to so many fun cities!

I hope you all enjoyed this recap and keep Montage Palmetto Bluff in mind the next time you are planning a trip! Feel free to comment any additional questions you have!
