Two Better For You Sweet Treat Recipes

I know I’m not the only one who ends the day with a sweet treat- I will admit it’s not *the best* habit but these two recipes definitely satisfy my sweet tooth and are a little bit better for you! Both of these recipes are so easy and the best part is once you spend time prepping they are so simple to put together / grab from the freezer! Strawberry Shortcake Protein Yogurt Bowl

INGREDIENTS:

Fruit Dip

  • Cool Whip
  • Vanilla Pudding Mix
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Milk

Other Ingredients

  • Strawberries (or your favorite fruit)
  • High protein greek yogurt
  • Nilla wafers

HOW TO:

  • Start off by making your fruit dip. Combine 1 4oz packet of vanilla pudding mix, 1 8oz container of cool whip, 1 1/2 cup milk, 1 tsp vanilla extract. Combine and whip until smooth!
  • Add fruit dip back into cool whip container and store in the fridge until you are ready to serve
  • When ready to serve, mix desired fruit dip amount with a serving of high protein yogurt
  • Top with fresh fruit and crumbled Nilla wafers

Date Snickers

INGREDIENTS:

  • Medjool Dates
  • Almond Butter (or your favorite nut butter)
  • Dark chocolate chips (optional: mix with a tad coconut butter to make it smooth)
  • Sliced almonds & coarse sea salt

HOW TO:

  • Remove pits from all dates and add to a baking sheet lined with foil
  • Add almond butter to each date and pop in the freezer until almond butter is chilled
  • Remove from freezer and coat with dark chocolate
  • Add almond slices and coarse salt for garnish
  • Store in the freezer until you are ready to eat!
