Shopping Trip to Rochester

Hi everyone! On Tuesday my mom and I had a little girls day and took a shopping trip to Rochester. They have so many amazing stores and it was so fun shopping for spring! We had the pleasure of touring the new Dicks Sporting Goods House of Sport at the Eastview Mall and couldn’t believe how incredible it was.

If you are local or a short drive away I would definitely recommend visiting. Whether you’re looking for something fun and safe to do with your kids or just want to go shopping for the day the store truly has something for everyone. We spent hours there shopping and enjoyed doing a few activities.

I share a little bit more daily fitness content on my Instagram @belleoftheball45 and absolutely love to workout. I find it great for both my mental and physical health. The House of Sport has such a great selection of workout and athleisure wear for women at a variety of price points. I loved so many of the styles from the @caliabycarrie and DSG lines. They also carry Free People Movement which I was so excited to see! Lately I’ve found myself gravitating towards more athletic styles for day-to-day wear as well and this is such a great spot to find them! I picked up the cutest pair of Nike joggers that I will be living in. I’ve also been on the hunt for a new pair of sneakers and had so many options to choose from. They feature so many great brands for both fitness and lifestyle such as Nike, Vans, Brooks, Adidas and many more.

The store really had a focus on making the customer happy with their purchase which is something I loved. They have a treadmill in the fitting room to make sure you like the fit of your new outfit, multiple golf simulators so you choose the right club, a batting cage to try out your swing, and so much more. I bought a new driver while I was there and couldn’t believe how much my drive improved on the golf course!

There were over 700 mannequins at the store which was a great way to enhance the shopping experience. Sometimes seeing a piece styled can be so helpful and grab your attention. The mannequins were also in very active poses which made it easier to envision myself working out in the clothes!
Each section also has a scent station to give you a full sensory experience. I was transported to my dugout in little league baseball when I smelled the Big League Chew in the baseball section!
Another one of my favorite parts about the store was the focus on community. Throughout the store there are pictures from local sports teams which I thought was so cute! They also have a jumbotron at the entrance that plays both local and national games. It is so great for kids to see this and be inspired to play team sports. At the Health and Wellness Bar they also sold juices from a local business!
Every section throughout the store had the most helpful and educated team members. At the Health & Wellness bar you can even schedule an appointment with a licensed nutritionist or take an early morning yoga class.
The 17,000 square-foot outdoor turf field was incredible and unlike anything I’ve ever seen in a retail store! They had a variety of activities set up and it made me so happy to see young kids trying new things. It’s a great spot to test out products too and make sure you love everything you take home with you. They have a variety of events happening on the field year round!
We also got a chance to climb on the rock wall which was so much fun! It would be a great activity for kids and is only $8. You can make a reservation in-store or online.
