Hi everyone! I had a surprise day off of work today because we had some pretty extreme wind last night. It was so nice to have a day to relax and run some errands, and of course squeeze in a little shopping too. Denim is always something I struggle with at my height (5’2) and when I find the perfect jeans I tend to wear them over and over again. Today while I was shopping I fount the perfect pair of wider leg denim that still looked great on my petite frame. In todays post I am going to share all of my favorite denim styles and why I love the fit on my frame. In this post I’m sharing a few trendier denim styles as well as classic styles of denim. I’ve been working on finding a lot of styles that are on trend but look good on any body type and am sharing so many cute styles below.

KICK CROP

This style is probably my favorite lately! I look for them to hit right at the ankle and find the style to be so flattering. My current favorite pairs are from Frame and Zara. Zara always has great denim at an affordable price point! Kick crop jeans are the perfect mix between skinny and flared denim and are so easy to style. They look great with flats, heels, boots- everything!

LEVIS 501’s

These are such a classic style of denim and never go out of style. They come in almost every wash so whatever your preference is – you can find a pair perfect for you. I love a medium wash personally and love when they look a little worn in. Levis only get better with age and are a great price point!

WIDE LEG

I see wide leg jeans so often now, but it has taken me SO long to find the perfect pair for my frame. After trying on numerous pairs I figured out that it is very important for them to fit in the back. Since wider leg jeans are meant to not be as body hugging, they sometimes feel like I am drowning in them. I have a few pairs of wide leg denim now and love that they fit in the bum, but still have the wider leg fit towards the bottm. I have also been seeing a lot of the cuffed wide leg jeans lately and found a great pair that come in both petite and regular.

SKINNY JEANS

I know that skinny jeans are ‘out’, but I do still like them! I will say that I don’t reach for skinny jeans nearly as often as I used to but they do still have their place in my wardrobe. Sometimes as a petite girl, if I have a more oversized top or am tucking my denim into boots skinny jeans are a must. I like to keep it classic with a medium wash and will always have a pair in my wardrobe.

BOOT CUT / FLARE

I always thought that I could never wear boot cut jeans because of my height, until I found an incredible pair from Spanx. These are a favorite of mine for work with a low heel and a dressier winter day with a pair of heeled boots. Also- if you have not tried Spanx denim yet you need to. They are so flattering!
